Call for Papers for CRE XVII 2016

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the first circular of the seventeenth Current Research in Egyptology conference, which will be held in Kraków on the 4-7 May 2016.

Current Research in Egyptology XVII – Second Call for Paper

We welcome abstract submissions for a 20-minute presentation or an A0 poster from all postgraduate, independent, and early career researchers studying ancient Egypt and Sudan, including the prehistoric/predynastic, Pharaonic, Late, Graeco-Roman and Islamic periods. Themes may include, but are not limited to: art history, ceramics, current fieldwork, geoarchaeology, material culture, osteoarchaeology, philology, religion, and economy.

Abstracts should consist of no more than 1000 characters and should be submitted by 30 November 2015 to crexviikrakow@gmail.com
The conference will be organized jointly by the Institute of Archaeology, Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the Antiquity of Southeastern Europe
Research Centre, University of Warsaw as well as by co-organizers: the Scientific Association of Ancient Egypt “Kemet ”, the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw and the Egyptology Section in the Department of Ancient Near East Studies at Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Warsaw. All events will take place in the historical part of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
The official language of the conference is English.
