We welcome abstracts from all aspects<br \/>\nof Egyptology and Nubiology, including, but not limited to:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Administration and Daily Life<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Anthropology<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Archaeology<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Art History<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Cultural Contact<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Diversity and Intersectionality<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Reception Studies and Egyptomania<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;History of Egyptology<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Interdisciplinary and Cross-disciplinary Methodologies<br \/>\nand Approaches<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Linguistics, Language, and Literature<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Museum and Private Collections<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Mythology and Religion<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; &nbsp;Theory of Egyptology<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s CRE will provide three different presentation formats:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;1. Standard presentation \u2013 20-minute presentation,<br \/>\nplus discussion.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;2. Short presentation \u2013 10-minute presentation,<br \/>\nplus discussion. These&nbsp; talks are recommended for work<br \/>\nin progress topics or exploratory papers.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;3. Poster presentation \u2013 Poster displayed in the<br \/>\nfoyer of the event location with a dedicated poster<br \/>\nsession.<\/p>\n<p>Submit an abstract<\/p>\n<p>Abstracts can be submitted through the Submit an<br \/>\nabstract form<br \/>\n&lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/hgrMgPrUZrgY4EvGA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/forms.gle\/hgrMgPrUZrgY4EvGA&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1700394865547000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3JUu8fqZpcdMMNphK0qBVB\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/hgrMgPrUZrg<wbr>Y4EvGA<\/a>&gt;.<\/p>\n<p>Important information:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; Abstracts should not exceed 300 words.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; Abstract titles should not exceed 30 words.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; The official language of the conference is English.<\/p>\n<p>We strongly encourage in-person participation to facilitate<br \/>\nintellectual exchange.<\/p>\n<p>In the application form, you should note the desired<br \/>\nformat of your presentation. This should include if you<br \/>\nwish to present digitally or in-person. Please note that<br \/>\nthe number of online presentations will be limited.<\/p>\n<p>Abstracts are anonymously reviewed by an external<br \/>\nscientific committee.<\/p>\n<p>Important dates<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; 17 January 2024: Deadline for abstract submissions.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; Late March 2024: Notification of acceptance.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; 10 May 2024: Registration deadline.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; May \u2013 June 2024: recommended start of VISA procedure<br \/>\nfor participants who require it (check if you need a VISA<br \/>\nto come to the UK, by visiting&nbsp; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.uk\/check-uk-visa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.gov.uk\/check-uk-visa&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1700394865547000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3c6zcEzyp7ZA777l2thg5p\">www.gov.uk\/check-uk-visa<\/a>);<br \/>\nplease make sure to set an appointment for&nbsp; biometrics<br \/>\ntaking at a Visa application centre in your country as<br \/>\nsoon as&nbsp; you can.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; August 2024: Late Registration deadline.<\/p>\n<p>We will keep people informed over the coming months<br \/>\nwith information about CRE in Liverpool. This will<br \/>\ncontain more information about registration fees<br \/>\nand Liverpool as a conference destination.<\/p>\n<p>Applying for a visa<\/p>\n<p>The CRE Organising Committee is working to ensure<br \/>\nsupport for all participants who need to apply for<br \/>\na visa.<\/p>\n<p>For Egyptian nationals, a Standard Visitor Visa is required:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; Length of stay: up to 6 months<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; Cost: \u00a3115 (GBP). We intend to subsidise some of<br \/>\nthese costs.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp; When to apply: the earliest that you can apply is<br \/>\n3 months before you travel.
