Jos\u00e9 Manuel Gal\u00e1n Allu\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Manuel Gal\u00e1n is Research Professor of Egyptology in the Department of Near Eastern and Mediterranean Languages and Cultures at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Cient\u00edficas (CSIC, Madrid). He received his PhD in Egyptology from John Hopkins University (Baltimore) under the direction of Hans Goedicke. He is the director of the Djehuty Project and the archaeological mission of the CSIC at Dra Abu el-Naga. He has published several monographs: En busca de Djehuty<\/em> (Madrid 2006); Four Journeys in Ancient Egyptian Literature<\/em> (G\u00f6ttingen 2005); El imperio egipcio<\/em> (Barcelona 2002); and Victory and Border<\/em> (Hildesheim 1995); and is the author of numerous articles on peer-reviewed journals, magazines, and contributions to books.<\/p>\n

Alejandro Jim\u00e9nez Serrano<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alejandro Jim\u00e9nez is Assoc. Professor of Egyptian Archaeology in the Department of Anthropology, Geography and History at the University of Ja\u00e9n (UJA). He studied at Ja\u00e9n and University College London (UCL). He is the director of the Qubbet el-Hawa Project and the UJA archaeological mission to Qubbet el-Hawa in Aswan. His main research interests are the origins of writing, the relations of Egypt and Nubia, and the Middle Kingdom archaeology. He has published several monographs: Royal Festivals in the Late Predynastic and the First Dynast<\/em>y (Oxford 2002); La Piedra de Palermo<\/em> (Madrid 2004); Los primeros reyes<\/em> (Madrid 2007); Historia de Egipto de Manet\u00f3n<\/em> (Madrid 2008); and From the Delta to the Cataract <\/em>(co-edited with C. von Pilgrim: Boston-Leiden 2015). In addition, he has authored multiple papers on Middle Kingdom history and archaeology, the origins of Egyptian writing, and Predynastic socio-political issues.<\/p>\n

Josu\u00e9<\/strong> J<\/strong>. <\/strong>Justel<\/strong><\/p>\n

Josue\u0301 J. Justel is currently Assistant Professor of Ancient History \u2013 Assyriology at the University of Alcal\u00e1. He graduated at the University of Zaragoza in 2002, promoted in 2007, and completed different Postgraduate courses and research stays at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cient\u00edficas (2003-2006), Institut Catholique de Paris (2004, 2008), Coll\u00e9ge de France (2004, 2008), Unit\u00e9 Mixte de Recherche 7041 \u2013 Arch\u00e9ologie et Sciences de l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9 (Nanterre, 2010-2012), Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin (2006), Universit\u00e4t Leipzig (2009-2010), and Universit\u00e4t Heidelberg (2017). His main field of specialization is the study of cuneiform sources recovered in Northern Mesopotamia and Syria during the Late Bronze Age. His most recent publications are Mujeres y derecho en el Pr\u00f3ximo Oriente Antiguo<\/em> (Zaragoza 2014); Las mujeres en el Oriente cuneiforme<\/em> (co-edited with A. Garc\u00eda-Ventura: Alcal\u00e1 2018); and \u201cBlindness in Nuzi Texts\u201d, in Die Welt des Orients<\/em> 47 (2017).<\/p>\n

Miguel \u00c1ngel Molinero Polo<\/strong><\/p>\n

Miguel \u00c1ngel Molinero obtained his BA degree in Egyptology at the University Paris IV \u2013 La Sorbonne, and his PhD in Ancient History at the University Complutense de Madrid (UCM). Currently, he is Professor of Egyptology at the University of La Laguna (ULL, Tenerife) and Head of the Master degree in Archaeology at the Universities of La Laguna and Las Palmas. In addition, he contributes as visiting professor of Egyptian religion in the Master in Egyptology at the UAB. He is the director of the Proyecto dos cero nueve, the archaeological mission of the University of La Laguna working at TT 209 in Asasif. He has participated in several other missions, including the Italian archaeological mission working in the tombs of Harwa (TT 37), Akhimeru (TT 404), and Pabasa (TT 279), and the South Asasif Conservation Project in the tombs of Karakhamun (TT 223), Irtieru (TT 390), and Karabasken (TT 391) in South Asasif. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, magazines, and contributions to books.<\/p>\n

Antonio J. Morales
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Antonio Morales is Assistant Professor of Egyptology in the Seminar of Ancient History at the University of Alcal\u00e1 (UAH). Previously, he occupied positions as lecturer and research assistant in the Institute of Egyptology at Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin, postdoctoral researcher at Heidelberg Universit\u00e4t and assistant in the Department of Egypt and Sudan in the British Museum. He obtained his PhD in Egyptology at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, 2013). Antonio has participated in several expeditions to Abydos, Saqqara, El-Amra, Thebes, and Aswan, and is the head of the Middle Kingdom Theban Project and the UAH archaeological mission to Deir el-Bahari. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, magazines, and contributions to books, as well as co-edited a monograph on the production, use, and meaning of beer in the ancient world (Seville 2001) and a volume on kingship in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia (Philadelphia 2011). Recently, he has published a monograph on the Pyramid Texts of Nut (Hamburg 2017), and is currently editing a volume on religious literature to be published in 2019.<\/p>\n

Juan Carlos Moreno Garc\u00eda<\/strong><\/p>\n

Juan Carlos Moreno Garc\u00eda (PhD in Egyptology, 1995) is a CNRS senior researcher at the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne, as well as lecturer on social and economic history of ancient Egypt at the \u00c9cole des Hautes \u00c9tudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris. He has published extensively on the administration, socio-economic history, and landscape organization of ancient Egypt, usually in a comparative perspective with other civilizations of the ancient world, and has organized several conferences on these topics. Recent publications include Dynamics of Production in the Ancient Near East, 1300-500 BC<\/em> (Oxford 2016); L\u2019\u00c9gypte des pharaons. <\/em>De Narmer \u00e0 Diocl\u00e9tien (3150 av. J.-C.-284 apr. J.-C.)<\/em> (Paris 2016); and Ancient Egyptian Administration<\/em> (Boston-Leiden 2013). He is also chief editor of The Journal of Egyptian History<\/em> (Brill), area editor (\u201cEconomy\u201d) of the UCLA Encyclopedia of Egyptology<\/em>, and series co-editor of Ancient Egypt in Context<\/em> (Cambridge University Press).<\/p>\n

Joan Oller Guzm\u00e1n<\/b><\/p>\n

Joan Oller is a lecturer in the Department of Ancient and Medieval Sciences at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He specializes on historical and territorial analysis of several areas in Roman times, including Laietania and La Cerdanya in the region of Catalonia. He is also interested on the territorial organization of Egypt in Roman times. He has participated in the Berenike Project and the Eastern Desert Survey, and is currently the Director of Sikait Project. This project continues with previous works in the area by the \u201cWadi Gemal Project\u201d, developed by S.E. Sidebotham, Professor at Delaware University, and counts with the collaboration of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n P\u00e9rez-Accino Picatoste<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n P\u00e9rez-Accino Picatoste is Lecturer in Egyptology at the Department of Prehistory, Ancient History and Archaeology in the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). He studied in Madrid and University College London (UCL). Since 2017 he is the director of the C2 Project, Royal Cache Wadi Survey in Luxor. His main research interest is the understanding of the Egyptian thought through its literary texts and, in particular, in the conception of space as a structural element of written expression in the Egyptian language and its link with landscape archaeology. Among his most recent works one can mention “The framework of the meeting narrative uses of stelae in Egyptian literary texts”, Trabajos de Egiptolog\u00eda – Papers on Ancient Egypt <\/em>8 (2017), 291-300; and “Who is the sage talking about? Mari Carmen P\u00e9rez Die<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mar\u00eda del Carmen P\u00e9rez Die (PhD in Ancient History, 1990) is Head Curator of the Department of Egyptian and Near Eastern Antiquities at the Archaeological National Museum in Madrid (MAN). She has served as Museum director between 1991 and 1997, and is member of several committees and associations such as the International Association pour l\u2019Egyptologie Committee, the Spanish Association of Egyptology, and the Spanish Committee for the Rescue of Tyre. She has received several awards, including the National Prize of the Spanish Geographical Society, the Medal of the Order of Isabel, and the Gold Medal of the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt. She has published several monographs, including the most recent Heracl\u00e9opolis Magna. La necr\u00f3polis \u201creal\u201d del Tercer Periodo Intermedio y su reutilizaci\u00f3n<\/em> (Madrid 2018), and multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals, magazines, and contributions to books. She is the head of the archaeological mission of MAN to Herakleopolis Magna.<\/p>\n
